About Alyssa: “My journey to becoming a physical therapist began after I experienced a shoulder injury during high school sports. Following my surgery, my physical therapist worked with me one-on-one to achieve my goals and return to play. In combination with my interest in human anatomy and dedication to helping others in need, I knew physical therapy would be the perfect career for me. This field allows me to get to know my patients on a personal level so that I can understand how their injury or impairments are affecting their daily function. I value the hands-on approach to patient care because it allows me to use my knowledge and skill to identify the cause of impairments and create an individualized care plan for each of my patients. It is the ultimate reward to be a part of the healing process and to help individuals maximize their quality of life.”
