I was attracted to the field of physical therapy from a very young age. I wanted to pursue it not only as an art but as a science. Traditional physical therapy focuses on the treatment of symptoms. Often this means an unresponsive treatment because the real cause of the problem may be located elsewhere. This treatment of referred pain can lead to an inaccurate physical therapy evaluation and ineffective treatment.
