About Kim: “Throughout my career spanning over three decades, my passion for physical therapy was ignited by personal experiences with osteopathic and physical therapy treatments following a significant low back injury sustained during my high school gymnastics years. Embarking on this journey, I began as a PT technician in San Diego, California, and subsequently pursued a master’s degree in the field in Los Angeles before eventually returning to Michigan to apply my skills across various healthcare settings.

Over the past two decades, I have dedicated myself to advancing in the field, culminating in the attainment of a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy. During this time, I also assumed the role of Assistant Manager in an Orthopedic and Sports Therapy outpatient clinic, where I honed my expertise in functional movement. It was through this experience that I developed a specialized focus on pelvic health, working extensively with both men and women to address a range of issues.

Recognizing the pivotal role of the trunk and pelvic floor musculature in overall health and mobility, I have prioritized empowering individuals to strengthen these areas. Much like the foundation and walls of a house, these muscle groups support crucial bodily functions, which can become compromised over time, leading to various pelvic health dysfunctions including but not limited to balance issues, incontinence, pelvic pain, and constipation. Often, the discussion surrounding these dysfunctions is minimized or avoided altogether.

My goal is to bridge this gap by fostering an environment of education and empowerment, wherein patients are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate their pelvic health journey and ultimately reclaim their optimal functionality.”
